Academia

" You can be my alphabet and I will be your calculator" - Sia
So here we are in the second quarter/semester of our college careers. Yupp. I hope that all is well for my fellow SSD-ers in whatever they are doing respectively. And of course, I hope everyone else is just swell whereever you are. Spreading your wings among other not so cliche experiences. Well, for once I am in Chula Vista &do not have work on Saturday. Free time is a very odd occurrence in my weekly schedule. Now that I have a Saturday off I am faced with the decision between "Have fun Elma you deserve it" plan or the "Use this time wisely to be productive/study" plan. Ideally, I will find a happy medium in between because this past week's studying/school events have left me drained in so many ways. My body is aching &temples are throbbing with the resurgence of a recurring headache. Eh, eh, eh.

This too shall pass.

Anywho, I vote to stay optimistic amidst of everything that is thrown our way. I know that even if we don't see each other often we still support one another. Nothing can get us down.

I believe I believe I believe.

Springtime San Diego!

There's currently half the population of Roosevelt College laying out half-naked on the ERC Green... not a pretty sight for the most part. Rolls, and no I don't mean dinner rolls 0_0. Yep, that is spring for me. Loves, it.

TO WRITE LOVE ON HER ARMS

to write love on her arms is a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.

so, today, write something on your arm; write about love and hope; write the name of a person you'd like to dedicate this day to. write for all those people who are alone to show that we are all connected.

let's make valentine's day really about love

RIP CREATIVITY

on perezhilton.com today, i read something that just killed my week.

"This is a sad day.
An essential part of our childhood is going into extinction.
Polaroid has announced that they will stop making Polaroid instant cameras and film.
For reals!s
Instead, the company is going to focus on making digital cameras and manufacturing TVs."

i don't even know how to respond to this; i was going to document my life with those polaroids. so, i guess all we can do now is stock up for this long never-ending winter.

:(

where you at!?

this question pertains to both my blogmates and the city itself.

it has seriously been TOO long since we had an SD adventure together. with all 3 of us most likely getting lost in a foreign country. (maybe not) this must be remedied ASAP!

&regarding SD the city. i feel obliged to note that telegraph canyon road in CV is becoming the new clairemont mesa. serious. there is a Sushi House, Pho place, and a new frozen yogurt place (the pinkberry kind not golden spoon type, mind you) called Pure.

its really something new that popped up right under our noses.
maybe we were too occupied watching movies at the new AMC to notice.

either way i'm happy to have more asian food places around CV.

come again, im happy whenever food is involved. :D
